I worked in the IT department of John Lewis for over 25 years providing many Personal Computing systems used within the shop and head office environments. Combining knowledge gained over these years in IT, my keen interest in the “Internet of Things” generally and a passion to install electrical installations to be proud of, I decided to form Smarts and Sparks.

I have always been interested in electrical work, and completed my first entire house rewire over 20 years ago. I loved my time working in the IT department for John Lewis and had many opportunities to architect and implement technical solutions that I felt really made a difference to both employees and to customers.
I have personally installed a significant amount of SmartHome technology and Security Systems into my home including a Ring doorbell and camera, LightwaveRF dimmers and power sockets, Hive heating, Canary and LogiCircle cameras, a Google Home and many Amazon Echo products. That said, I’m always looking out for more….
